Damon Braces®

A Premier Provider for The Damon® System, Burkhardt Pecora Orthodontics is pleased to offer Damon® self ligating brackets as a treatment option. Self ligating brackets reduce the amount of pressure exerted on the teeth by using a door to secure the arch wire to the bracket. The teeth are able to move more freely by reducing the amount of friction between the arch wire and the brackets. Patients have reduced treatment time and greater comfort.

The Damon® System reduces the need for elastic ties on the teeth, making it easier for the patient to maintain good oral hygiene and allowing high technology arch wires to move teeth efficiently. If patients would like to add colors to their braces for fun, we are more than happy to place them on the upper front teeth where oral hygiene can be easily maintained!

Damon® brackets are available in traditional metal and in a clear option for patients who want the benefits of orthodontic treatment without sacrificing aesthetics. Damon clear brackets do not need individual elastic ties placed around the brackets, therefore reducing troublesome food staining that was so common with clear brackets in the past.
